If you have ventured into Chester, this Country Park is the perfect place for you and your pooch to stretch your legs.

The park itself is famous for being one of the finest examples of Victorian gardening in the country. As such, there are listed features abound including many statues and the remains of a former nunnery.

A lovely walk that can talk you all the way into Chester if you wish. Follow the canal path as it makes its way through Christleton, Great Boughton and into the centre of Chester.

A mostly flat walk that offers plenty of rest and picnic spots and even the odd canalside pub. Designated as an Area of nature conservation value you'll see a wide variety of wildlife, including mute swans, ducks and moorfowl, you may even be lucky enough to spot kingfishers or grey herons.

A wonderful circular loop that takes around 1hr 25 minutes with a lovely pub to stop at along the route.

The route is easy and accessible for all fitness levels and the start of the route can be reached by public transport.
