New General Manager
Rowton Hall Hotel and Spa is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr John Griffiths as the new General Manager of the Hotel and Spa. This senior appointment follows the recent acquisition of Rowton Hall Hotel and Spa in Chester by Anderbury Ltd, an independent group of award winning properties that includes St George’s Hotel in Llandudno and Hatherley Manor Hotel and Spa in Gloucester.
Mr John Griffiths has a wealth of experience in managing a number of leading hotels throughout the UK, including Tortworth Court, the luxury Wyck Hill House and Spa in the Cotswolds and more recently Cheltenham Chase Hotel in Gloucestershire and Mottram Hall Hotel and Spa in Cheshire.
Commenting on his appointment, John said,

Rowton Hall Country House Hotel & Spa is set amidst eight acres of gardens and pastureland, is a highly rated luxury 4-star, 39-bedroom hotel, just 2½ miles from the Roman City of Chester, with ample free parking and a helicopter pad. Formerly a Georgian Manor House built in the 18th century, the Chester hotel retains many of the original features, including the original carved wood winding staircase, oak panelled corridors and Inglenook fireplace.
Dining is in the oak panelled Langdale Restaurant, which uses the freshest ingredients and homegrown fruit and vegetables from the hotel’s kitchen garden. Each of the Luxury bedrooms, Junior suites and Master suites are individually decorated and equipped with every modern amenity including Freeview television, free wireless internet access, a personal safe and luxury toiletries.
