After the success of 'The Roving Moon' across the Christmas period, Visit Chester are making Chester bloom early with an art trail around the city made by local and regional artists. Each installation will be inspired by a particular aspect of nature, and dotted throughout the city for people to discover.

An app using augmented reality will be released on app stores to help you find each installation, and make plants and animals come to life.

Threads Through Time at Chester Cathedral

Dates: 12th January 2022 - 1st March 2022

The talented artist Jacqui Parkinson is decorating the Cathedral with a spectacular display of twelve huge silk panels which retell the story of the creation. The silks will be a vibrant combination of hand-dyed materials, metallic leathers, gold leaf, totalling up to miles of thread and 8 million stitches!

Party Cruises with Chester Boat

Tickets are £33.50 when booked before the 5th February and £34.50 when booked after.

The Chester Boat company have a range of fabulous party cruises setting sail down the River Dee. Each party starts at 7:30pm and includes a delicious BBQ style buffet supper, disco with DJ and a glass of house wine on arrival! Party throughout the evening, then return back to land at 10:30pm.

The Paint Republic Paint and Sip Party

The Crocky Trail

Distance from Rowton Hall Hotel: 5 minute drive

Tickets start from £15.50 with children under 5 go free.

Enjoy a family day out at The Crocky Trail where you will be met with a series of obstacles and rides. Cross the Crocky stream by a scary wobbly bridge, swinging chain bridge and a fallen log, enjoy a ride on the spinning disk, Titanic and the Flusher.

Make sure you pack some wellies and clothes you don't mind getting muddy. The Crocky Trail is the perfect place to ensure the whole family has heaps of fun, including your dog!
