How Long Can I Provisionally Hold a Date For? You can hold a date for up to 14 days. If another enquiry comes in for the same date during this time, we’ll give you a call so you can decide whether to confirm your booking. To secure the date, a non-refundable, non-transferable deposit will need to be received within the 14-day window; otherwise, it will be released.

How Many Guests Can You Accommodate for the Day and Evening?
We’re delighted to host up to 120 guests for your wedding breakfast and up to 200 for an evening reception.

Is the Venue Licensed for Civil Ceremonies? Yes, we are.

Is Exclusive Hire of the Venue Available? Absolutely! You can enjoy exclusive use of Rowton Hall Hotel. Learn more about this option here.

How Many Bedrooms Can We Hold Without Taking Exclusive Use? Do we get discounted rooms for our guests?
We can offer a reserved block of 10 discounted rooms. The rates will be agreed with you prior to receiving your contract.

Who Will Be Our Point of Contact Before the Wedding?
Your dedicated Wedding Co-ordinator will be with you every step of the way! A week before your wedding, you’ll meet your Wedding Operations Manager, who will be there to ensure your day is seamless.

Do We Have to Use Your Recommended Suppliers?
Not at all! You’re welcome to bring in your own suppliers, though we do ask that they have public liability insurance and PAT certifications. You can see our recommended suppliers here.

When Can We Access the Venue?
Access time depends on your ceremony time and hotel activities from the night before. Your wedding coordinator will work out the best plan for you.

Are There Spaces for Both of Us to Get Ready in the Morning?
Yes! Our Lodge and Apartments are ideal for getting ready, subject to availability (please note these would need to be pre booked for the night before your wedding)—they’re spacious, private, and perfect for pre-ceremony preparations. View the Apartments and Lodge here.

How Does the Changeover from Ceremony to Reception Work?
This depends on your specific locations for the ceremony and reception, but don’t worry—our team will plan the timing with you to make sure it’s smooth.

Are You Flexible with the Day’s Timing?
We’ll work with you to build the timeline around your ceremony time, which we recommend booking first. Our ideal start time is 2 pm, but we’ll tailor it to suit your day. See our timeline tips here.

Can We Have an Outdoor Wedding?
Yes! We have beautiful outdoor ceremony areas for you to choose from, weather permitting. We’ll create a backup plan just in case and make a final decision with you 24-42 hours before.

Are There Décor Restrictions?
We ask that nothing be attached to the walls and suggest double-checking measurements for large items.

Are Fireworks and Confetti Allowed?
We do not allow fireworks due to our close proximity to our neighbours and their animals. Confetti is permitted outside as long as it is biodegradable.

Is a Menu Tasting Included?
Yes, all our wedding packages include a complimentary menu tasting. If you’ve customised a bespoke package, just let us know if you’d like to add one!

Can We Use External Catering?
External catering is allowed, subject to availability. We’re happy to discuss dry hire and any related fees.

Can We Bring Our Own Alcohol? Is There a Corkage Fee?
You can. A corkage fee applies; let us know if you’d like the rates.

Can You Accommodate Live Bands or DJs?
Absolutely! Their setup time will be coordinated with the timeline of your wedding day.

What Are Your Bar Options?
We offer card, cash, and room charge options with a pre-authorised card. Just let us know if you’d like a full bar tariff.

Can We Plug an iPhone into Your Sound System?
Yes, we have an AUX plug and iPhone adapter. We’re happy to test it with you beforehand to ensure everything’s ready.

What Time Does the Evening Reception End?
The reception ends at midnight, but we can arrange a late license until 1 am for a fee. Just ask your Wedding Co-ordinator.

Are Taxis Readily Available?
Yes, King Cabs (01244343434) is a great local option, and we’re only 10 minutes from Chester City Centre so taxi’s are readily available.

Is The Venue Accessible?
Yes, if you have specific needs, please reach out to us so we can help.

Is There a Safe Place for Wedding Gifts?
We ask that you nominate a trusted guest to take responsibility for securing your gifts and cards at the end of the evening. Any decorations left in the room must be collected by 11am the morning after the wedding. Anything left after this time will be disposed of by the hotel.

Is There Enough Parking for All Our Guests?
Yes, we have plenty of parking, including 6 electric vehicle charging points.

What Is the Deposit and Final Payment Schedule?
A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of £1000 is required to confirm your booking.

50% of your estimated remaining balance would be due 8 months prior.

75% of the estimated remaining balance would be due 3 months prior.

Your final balance would be due 4 weeks prior.
