Welcome to the Langdale Restaurant
Good food tastes better in relaxed surroundings. At Rowton Hall, dinner is to be savoured and discussed, shared and enjoyed. You’re not on show, which means (jeans and trainers aside) you don’t have to dress for the occasion.
Instead, it’s the fresh and delicious food that’s centre of attention.
There’s a new, tempting selection every day. Impressive wines demand in-depth, considered investigation. And the service is as warm and unobtrusive as you’d expect from Rowton Hall Hotel.
For a friendly get together or family occasion. For private dining. For a business discussion over exceptional food, book your table at the Langdale Restaurant.
Any Head Chef is only ever as good as the ingredients with which he works. That’s why, at the Rowton Hall Hotel restaurant, a key member of the team is our Gardener, Karl.
Our Head Chef works with Karl to plan daily and seasonal menus that take advantage of the freshest ingredients growing just outside the kitchen window. So when Head Chef is ready to cook with it, Karl is ready to pick it.

The Langdale Restaurant will be closed Monday - Wednesday during September. We are calling all guests that are due to stay with us during September that may have booked a DBB rate during these days.
Due to the increase in demand for the Restaurant, we can only reserve tables for guests that have booked dinner, bed and breakfast rates.
Guests on a bed and breakfast rate who wish to dine with us can order from our Bar menu and sit in the Bar, Terrace or Garden View Conservatory. These tables are available on a first-come, first-serve basis and cannot be reserved.
In an effort to efficiently allocate tables in the restaurant to both residents and non-residents and reduce the number of ‘no-shows’ we will be charging a deposit of £25 to guests booked on a Bed & Breakfast or Room Only package who wish to dine in the restaurant.
The deposit will be used against your dinner charges with any unused credit refunded to your bill.
