Rowton Hall celebrates a hat-trick of success at the Chester Hospitality Awards, with team members recognised for excellence in both front of house and culinary leadership.
We’re thrilled to announce a fantastic evening of success for the Rowton Hall Hotel & Spa team at this year’s Chester Hospitality Association Awards!
Our incredibly talented Head Chef, Matthew Jencitis, took home the prestigious Head Chef of the Year award – a well-deserved recognition of his creativity, leadership, and culinary excellence in the Rowton kitchens.
Maxine Mitchell, a familiar and friendly face to so many of our guests, was honoured with the Front of House Award, celebrating her outstanding dedication to guest experience and her commitment to exceptional service.
And a very special mention goes to Tom Bennett, who received a Special Recognition Award for Chef of the Year, highlighting his passion, skill, and continued contribution to the culinary scene in Chester.
“This is a proud moment for Rowton Hall Hotel & Spa,” said James Pownall, General Manager. “These awards are a testament to the dedication, professionalism and talent of our team. I’m absolutely delighted to see Matt, Maxine and Tom recognised – they represent everything Rowton stands for.”
Stephen Trowbridge, Operations Director, added: “To win across both kitchen and front of house categories – and receive special recognition on top – is outstanding. We’ve invested in building a passionate, guest-focused team, and this recognition reflects that. Huge congratulations to all involved.”
It was a proud moment for the entire Rowton Hall Hotel & Spa team, and we couldn’t be more delighted to see our team’s hard work celebrated in such a meaningful way. A huge thank you to the Chester Hospitality Association – and of course, to our amazing guests, whose support makes it all possible.
Here’s to another incredible year ahead!
